A Guide to Expanding Narrative with Staff or Intermediate/Middle School showcasing “Living Life with Leo”
Invite Diane Nienas, author of the children’s book series, “Living Life with Leo,” to your school. Utilize her work as mentor text to further expand and express yourself through narrative writing.

Diane will help the students expand their own narrative writing skills through modeling how to use a thematic statement, the power of symbolism, and how to analyze word choice to communicate a message. Students will be inspired to grow their grit as a writer when Diane shares the writing process, including the essential steps of character development, plot, setting, along with editing, and revising. This is an ideal launch into further classroom narrative writing exercises.
The program is intended for upper-elementary to middle school audiences with up to three 45-minute read throughs of the Living Life with Leo series. Asking rate for this package is $350 + traveling expenses; negotiable. Diane also asks that a book order form be included to send home with students.
