Like a Bursting Firework, Display His Light
Again Jesus spoke to them saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
When the weight of life’s struggle rests upon your shoulders it is not always easy to know what to release and what to cling to. God’s never ending love is unchanging and you can trust in His promise. Hold tight to His truth.
We often can’t see the ways that God is working for the good of our life, especially during our trials. It is in these moments that God’s grace is a force of protection, waiting for us to seek Him. Don’t hide your pain from Him, He already knows everything you are enduring.
Lean into His love. Lay down your pain at the foot of the cross. Open up your heart and hear the message He has for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him and know that He will never leave your side. Our God is never changing. He sees you. He loves you. He has a plan for your life. You can depend on Him in all of your circumstances.
It was the promise of God’s light that allowed me to relinquish my past and draw closer to the promise of God’s presence in the present. It was His light that I saw shine from within both Leo and Trent that made me want to shine His love onto others. It was through my darkest moments that I discovered the Light of my life.
Each day we have a choice. Do we want to let those around us walk in darkness or shine the light from within us so they see the light of Jesus. We are His instruments. Let the breath of His love blow out from us, whispering the sound of His glory. Let the light of His love burst over the sky, like a magnificent firework, outreaching sparks of light to all those that we encounter. So when they see you, they can’t help but see Jesus.
